Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Role reports to the Legal Manager and requires the candidate to be involved in contract review and drafting, providing legal advice and support on any issues faced by the Bayan Group, staying abreast of regulatory issues in relation to the business activities
• Provides updates to business units, assist various business groups in negotiation, managing external lawyers
• Role will see a heavier focus on electricity /power generation

Requirements

• Min Bachelor Degree in Law
• Experience between 3-5 years in a reputable law firm and large listed company and preferably in the electricity/power generation industry
• Excellent command of English & Bahasa, both in speaking & writing
• Mature, meticulous, team player with initiative to take on more responsibilities, strong time management skills
• Demonstrated experience in providing expert legal advice in complex or contentious matters
• Strong business acumen, analytical skills and the ability to make commercial decisions with a legal context
