The Wahana Baratama (WBM) Mine consists of a Coal Contract of Work (CCOW) located in the Satui Regency, South Kalimantan. Operations commenced in 2007 and have continued since that time with the mine currently producing approximately 1 - 2 million tonnes per annum of high calorific value bituminous quality coal. Overburden removal and coal transportation are contracted to PT. Thiess Contractors Indonesia. From the mining location, coal is transported approximately 9 kilometers to an intermediate crushing facility (ICF) which has an overall stockpile capacity of 180,000 tonnes. At the ICF coal is crushed at a rate of 1,000 tonnes per hour then loaded onto larger coal hauling trucks for transporting approximately 19 kilometres to a barge loading facility that is owned and operated by the Bayan Group directly on the coast.
The barge loading facility has crushing capacity of 1,000 tonnes per hour (which are primarily used to crush third party coal), overall stockpile capacity of 360,000 tonnes and barge loading capacity of 3,000 tonnes per hour. Barges of 7,500 metric tonne capacity (300 feet) are able to be loaded at this facility.
